Besides publishing a weekly newspaper that its vendors sell on the streets of the Portland area, Street Roots is now publishing a zine , the first one being a showcase of vendors' poetry. The second one is now out and available from the vendors. The zine is biannual, published for the holidays and in late spring to give vendors an extra income opportunity. They purchase it for $1, sell it for $4 and keep the profit. The photos are a look at the writing class which assists the authors in their efforts at written expression and a view of the first issue.
